US Army Holistic Health And Fitness Field Manual (FM 7-22) and Holistic Health And Fitness Drills And Exercises Army Techniques Publications (ATP 7-22.02) use the Pose Method® as a method for the running skill program and drills.
The Army Combat Fitness Test will better connect fitness with combat readiness for all Soldiers.
The two mile run can be completed on an indoor or outdoor track, or an improved surface such as a road or sidewalk. The 2MR cannot be tested on unimproved terrain. There is a programmed 10-minute rest between the LTK and the 2MR. The rest period begins when the last Soldier in the group completes the LTK.
